This was the only pair of running shoes that I've tried on that have been able to convert me from my Asics. I religiously wore Asics Tri-Noosa running shoes for about 6 years, switching recently to the 33-DFA. Having found that I'm a fan of lower drop shoes (4mm seems to be just about right for me) with moderate cushioning, the 33-DFAs were a godsend. They were super comfortable and almost sock-like.

I ran in them for way longer than I should have and, when I went to buy a new pair, couldn't find many places carrying my size (9.5) outside of Amazon and I started to worry that Asics was going to phase them out. In the interest of finding a pair of shoes that I'd be able to purchase for years to come, I started researching other brands and models with characteristics similar to the 33-DFA.
